Wanna Be a Rock Star?
What are you talking about?
Are you kids antsy to live out their creative side, but they don't have the right outlet? Rock Band and Guitar Hero are awesome, but they don't involve creativity. Wanna Be a Rock Star is about creating music. But, it goes beyond that. We all have a desire to express ourselves, and a yearning to succeed at something. We here at Wanna Be a Rock Star believe that anyone can succeed at music, no matter how much experience you have or don't have. It's about a love for music and a desire to learn. The excitement your kids will experience when they play their first note, write their first song, or perform in front of an audience for the first time will move and inspire you. It's about learning to work together as a team (as a band), gaining self-confidence, and learning new skills. Advanced Level: The Ultimate Rock Star Experience
How do my kids qualify?
-male or female ages 10-18 years
-be proficient on their instrument (at least 3-5 years)
-be able to sight read music
-high level of understanding of rhythm, tempo, etc.
What do my kids accomplish in 12 weeks?
-learn to play in a band with 5 or 6 other people
-learn a cover song
-write their own song (as a band), record it, and perform it
-Most important: Have a totally awesome experience with amazing people!!
Combo Level: The Rising Star Experience
How do my kids qualify?
-male or female ages 10-18 years
-some experience on their instrument (at 1-2 years)
-some knowledge on how to sight read music
-good understanding of rhythm, tempo, etc.
What do my kids accomplish in 12 weeks?
-learn to play in a band with 5 or 6 other people
-become more proficient on their instrument through weekly private instruction
-learn a cover song (as a band) with the option of recording and/or performing it
-Most important: Have a totally awesome experience with amazing people!!
Beginner Level: The I Wanna Be a Rock Star Experience
How do my kids qualify?
-male or female ages 8 and older
-a burning desire to learn to play guitar, bass, drums, keys, or sing
Note: Private lessons are ongoing. They are pay as you go or you can elect to sign up for more at a discounted rate.
-Most important: Become more awesome at what you've always wanted to do!!
Is Rock not your Thing?
I also offer Hip Hop classes for ages 8 and older.
What can my kids learn?
-hip hop dance
-how to make beats
-how to rhyme
How much does this cost?
12 weeks at $479 (usually $599)
Private lessons: $50/hour or sign up for multiple lessons at a discounted rate.
